News: 9 May 2017Manchester team responds to regional market growth with team expansion

Our Manchester team have strengthened its team, welcoming two directors and one associate.

Greg Dickson joins as Planning Director after previously working at Turley for ten years. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the private sector including the promotion of major housing schemes, the delivery of town/city centre development projects and advice to assist the progress of major logistics schemes and strategic transport infrastructure.

In addition to leading a variety of detailed and complex planning applications, Greg provides advice to clients in relation to Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO), he advised Warrington Council on the Bridge Street Quarter CPO which was confirmed in September 2016 and was subsequently elected to the Committee of the Compulsory Purchase Association. Greg is a member of the RTPI North West Regional Activities Committee and the National Infrastructure Planning Association.

Nicole Roe joins as a Planning Associate from NJL Consulting and brings with her 11 years’ experience of retail planning within Manchester. She has extensive experience working for national and multiple retailers and developers most recently including Peel Holdings and St Modwen. In addition to single use schemes, she has gained planning consent for large scale mixed-use developments and assisted clients with asset and portfolio management through providing strategic planning advice.

Accompanying Greg and Nicole’s appointments, Steven Grimster, who has been with Barton Willmore since 2011, has been promoted from Planning Associate to Planning Director. Steven has extensive experience of a range of major residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across large parts of Cheshire and Merseyside. Steven is currently advising on plans for enabling residential development at St Bedes College in Manchester, a strategic mixed-use development on the M6 corridor, and several affordable housing schemes.
