News: 24 November 2017Meet our new infrastructure & energy team

Infrastructure is critical to UK economic prosperity and our quality of life. We are already leaders in the planning and delivery of large scale residential and commercial development, and we now have a strategic infrastructure and energy team to expand our offer throughout the UK. Without infrastructure, we cannot continue to deliver smart, sustainable and successful places.

Our new team, led by Ben Lewis, provides a national service across all of our disciplines. Ben has led on a number of DCO projects and is joined by Tom Carpen, who was Team Leader of the energy and transport teams at the Planning Inspectorate. The team specialises in the planning, assessment and consenting of large scale development projects and is focussed on the following sectors.

  • Energy; Generation / transmission / storage
  • Oil & Gas; Exploration / extraction / transmission / storage
  • Transport; Road / rail / airports / ports
  • Waste; Hazardous / waste water / radioactive
  • Business & Commercial; Mixed use / office & employment / storage & distribution / sport, leisure & tourism

With a key specialism in planning strategy and process management for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), our team, whom have the combined experience of over 25 different NSIPs, includes experienced practitioners who have worked for promoters, landowners, and statutory bodies. We offer sector-specific expertise across all of our disciplines throughout the UK to provide a service that is unequalled in the market.
