Tom Carpen, Infrastructure and Energy Planning Associate is appointed as board member at the National Infrastructure Planning Association (NIPA) board this month.
Joining a board of nine industry experts, Tom brings his in-depth knowledge of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects from Barton Willmore and previous experience working for the Planning Inspectorate.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Carpen says: “NIPA plays a vital role in ensuring that as an industry we continuously improve the way we deliver nationally significant infrastructure projects
both for those promoting them and those affected by them in the UK. NIPA’s strength lies in its experience across the spectrum of infrastructure sectors, including energy, transport and water, and with a membership drawn from a variety of professional disciplines, we are a genuinely collaborative voice for infrastructure planning in the UK. I am honoured to be appointed to the board, and backed by the expertise and experience in Barton Willmore, I look forward to directly contributing to the shape of the industry”.
