Awards celebrating the urban life of development and places where people want to live, work and play has recognised the Chocolate Factory scheme in Haringey, of which our designers and planners have been involved in for over five years.
The Pineapple Awards, sponsored by the Design Council, shortlisted the 1930s-built former factory that had been home to the famous Jelly Baby within the Future Place Category as the Chocolate Factory will soon become a vibrant new city district after work undertaken by our multidisciplinary team played a major role in securing planning permission for the site’s transformation.
The landmark 1.6ha site, being redeveloped by the WorkSpace Group, has been designed to be transformed into a new cultural quarter with 100,00sqm of commercial floorspace, 5,400sqm of new public realm and 230 new homes.
Our team below will be attending the awards on 9th July 2019 at Tobacco Dock, wish us luck!
