We are very sad to announce the loss of our valued colleague Robin Meakins following his short battle with cancer.
Robin joined Barton Willmore in 2003, based at the practice’s Reading office, before moving to join the London office as a Partner in 2008. Throughout these 18 years, he made a significant contribution to the practice, gaining a reputation for giving straightforward, high-quality advice, working with a hugely diverse range of major investors and developers, and guiding major strategic developments that span all sectors and scales.
Robin brought a huge amount to the industry and leaves a lasting impact. He was commercial, passionate, and fiercely protective of the things that mattered most to him. He will be greatly missed by all who worked with and alongside him.
Senior Partner, Mark Sitch said: “Robin was a good friend, a great planner and a very talented and impressive Partner of the practice. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time. While his professional achievements and contributions are widely known, he will be remembered by all who knew him for his love of his family, his no-nonsense commercial view and an incredible sense of humour. He will be sorely missed by all.”
Robin passed away on 14th November aged 47 and we would ask anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory to please do so to the British Liver Trust.
