In November last year we lost our friend and colleague Robin Meakins – or ‘Meakins’ as his team knew him - to liver cancer, after a very short illness. As a team, they wanted to find a way of marking his memory and raising the profile of the British Liver Trust – the charity that his family support.
Hot on the heels of another BW team’s fundraising efforts, taking on the 'Welsh 3000's challenge', the team will take on the 'Meakins Memorial Marathon Team Challenge'. Each of the team will be notching up 26.2 miles through a variety of physical challenges, including two team members taking on the London Marathon, having decided there was no better way to celebrate his memory than to take on a challenge he would never have contemplated attempting himself!
More details on the challenges the team are taking on will follow over the coming weeks, so do keep an eye on LinkedIn for regular updates!
