Development Economics Associate

Debbie joined us in 2015 following 15 years working in the public sector.

Debbie has over 18 years’ experience of socio-economic analysis to inform service provision planning and housing development, specialising in demographic modelling. 

As an Associate in the national Development Economics team, Debbie is responsible for producing assessments of the current and future population, she is able to prepare housing need assessments at local authority and settlement level, advising on the scale and associated mix of future housing schemes.  Debbie also has expertise in establishing the community and employment needs associated with future housing developments to inform discussions with Local Planning/Education Authorities and is a competent user of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Debbie has regularly appeared and led on housing need sessions at Local Plan Examinations on behalf of national housebuilders and land owners.
