The Queen Elizabeth II Hospital redevelopment includes replacement of the existing seven-storey, 350-bed acute general hospital and associated buildings with a new local general hospital, together with new landscaping and a reconfiguration of car parking.
Project Details
The redevelopment includes replacement of the existing general hospital and associated buildings with:
- A new local general hospital
- Extension of the Isabel Hospice
- 202 new homes
- New landscaping
The new hospital will provide A&E, a rapid assessment unit, outpatient facilities, diagnostics, and ante and post-natal care.
In addition, the Isabel Hospice will be extended and up to 202 new homes built on the 8.5-hectare site.
